I wish to point out that the NRA did not spend money to support self defense candidates, but
MILLIONS of US citizens (some of them who were not NRA members) donated money through
the NRA, supporting self defense for ALL Americans, and
Americans still have the CHOICE if they will protect their family with firearms.
