I have a 98 road king that’s driven me crazy. Not sure if my two problems could be caused by same issue. When I bought my scooter everything seemed to be fine. Then one day wile running down the road at a steady speed no problems, till I roll my throttle back and its like she falls on er face. If I ease off it no problems she runs steady. This may happen once or many times in a row then she will run like a scalded ape. Can roll my throttle back and there is no hesitation. This may happen 2-3 times a day,week or may go a cpl months no problem .

Other times when I come to a stop it will try to blow its self up idling sky high. I have to ease out on clutch to pull er down till light changes. then at the next light pull clutch in and no problem at all. Never throws a code while acting up. Now its a crap shoot to go ride. Ill go out and hit starter it might bust off no problem or it will just turn over not getting fire. Go back in the house try again later again we may ride no problems or we may not just depends. Again is not throwing codes.

When shes running shes good. Just never know if its goona start or not. How can I figure out if it wont act up and throw a code when I take it in to get fixed? Im told they cant find nothing wrong. Just never know when she’ll decide to get moody and not cooperate. or if she’ll run like there is no issues what so ever. The last time I had it looked at it wouldn’t start for a day or two . Then all the sudden boom shes ready to roll, no problems at all. Thanks
