Sounds like the concern started just after fueling. If so, I would drain the tank and float bowels and start with a fresh known good fuel source. We see it 2 or 3 times a year and usually in batches of 3 or 4 vehicles. If water gets into the supply tank it will go to the bottom. eventually it will build up until the pump starts to suck it out. At first it will suck a fixture of fuel and water so the vehicle will run as described.
