I strongly criticize media exaggerations of revenues of organized crime factions. In real life, just like former mobsters like Michael Franzese has mentioned, with very few exceptions mobsters don't earn as much as media and some "independent studies" are suggesting. For instance whole Italian OC got revenues between €8.6 bn - 13 bn annually, not 138-150 bn as e.g Bank of Italy has claimed. Critical studies are suggesting Mob is earning $ 0.5-1 million per made member. They are not "bigger than McDonalds and Deutsche Bank".
