- The problem has been, I believe two main reasons.
1) Indy Car drivers in the top teams get paid well enough to stay in the series. Honestly it's only been the foreign born Indy Drivers who still have a interest in trying F1 since it was goal they had as children but had to do Indy Car if they wanted to drive race cars as a career.
2) European ambivalence toward's North American F1 fans especially Americans. Until a transcending figure appears that doesn't automatically go the NASCAR route, think Jeff Gordon; Europeans will not believe they need an American driver, so the US GP will keep moving around as the elites of this country need to find ways to spend their ill gotten gains....
