[h=2]SUPERCARS: de Silvestro Bathurst livery unveiled[/h] RACER Staff
Simona de Silvestro will run a new livery for her second attempt at the Bathurst 1000 next month.


The Swiss driver, who forms part of the 'Harvey Norman Supergirls' entry along with co-driver Renee Gracie, will carry the number 360 in deference to sponsor Nikon KeyMission 360; a new 360 degree camera.

The unveiling of the livery de Silvestro will use at Mt Panorama comes just weeks after she confirmed a three-year deal to race in Supercars full-time starting from 2017. She and Gracie will switch from a Ford Falcon to a Nissan Altima for this year's race, although the make of the car that de Silvestro will campaign next season is still to be confirmed.

"It's great to be back in Australia," said de Silvestro. "This time around everything feels a bit more normal knowing the tracks we are going to, and even though I am with a new team in Nissan, I'm really looking forward to getting to work with them.

"My expectations are always high every time I get into a race car, and I know that Bathurst is a very challenging circuit and event. It's also one full year since I have driven a Supercar, but I'm sure it will come back to me quite quickly."
The duo were classified 21st last year after losing a significant amount of time to repairs in the pits after Gracie slipped on oil and hit the wall early in the race, and de Silvestro said that the main aim this time around is to move up the order.

"I think our biggest goal is to improve on last year's result," she said. "If we have a clean race then I'm sure we can have a good result at the end. Finishing top 15 would be a great achievement."
The pair are scheduled to have their first outing in the Nissan at a two-day test at Winton this week.
