One of my Heroes ... I had the pleasure of knowing this man . Got to work with him , race with him and even Trucked with him.. He is a class act and he should be in the Hall Of Fame soon !!! He was what brought NASCAR to were it is today , now that's racing these silver spoon kids don't have a clue what legends like him had to endure and sacrifice just to maintain and do what he loved , and that was racing ! Heck this man would and could do it all . Once he had raced his heart out for 500 plus miles and not in the comfort these drivers have today , it might be at Pocono , Michigan or anywhere .. He would load up his not so fancy hauler in the early days , and climb in the truck seat of his tractor-trailer and drive another 12 hours or more back to the shop in Asheville ,N.C. to prepare for the next race ... Unreal , but true ... One real MAN and true RACER !!!! Love ya, Chief from Lugnut !!!!
