The superb 2015 documentary
Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman, is ready to be followed by more new films from its creators, including one on the career of Willy T. Ribbs.
"Adam Carolla and Nate Adams, who did 'Paul Newman's Winning,' they are producing a movie documentary," Ribbs told
RACER. "Bernie Ecclestone is going to be in it. The laundry list of people that are going to be involved in this is going to be extraordinary."

Led by Carolla and Adams, production on the Ribbs documentary recently started on the sportscar champion who became the first African-American driver to compete in the Indianapolis 500 in 1991 (

Three-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, who has listed Ribbs as one of his driving inspirations, is also among the potential interviewees. Completion of the film is expected to take approximately 12 months.
"We are shooting right now, I expect to shoot five people in the next two week, five to 10 by the end of June, and then do the last five or six in July," Adams told
RACER. "It will be about a year from now when it should be ready to go."
Carolla and Adams will hold a private screening of their newest documentary
24 Hour War on the Ford-vs-Ferrari rivalry at Le Mans at the French circuit during next month's 24 Hour race.
