OK. I went to the link. It looks like he got a copy of which pinout that he could "borrow"/re-purpose to use for the fans.
Another way, if a person had a list of pinouts, would be to go down the wire about 6-8inches, and make a y-splice...either by cutting off 1/2 inch of insulation, then wrapping the new fan wire around the original
factory wire and soldering them together,
or
putting 2 wires into one side and the original wire into the other side of a yellow connector and crimping them properly....... don't try this at home folks.... I'm the only person I know with the official phone company crimping tool and the knowledge about how to line it up for a proper crimp....
One thing NOT to do is use the little square blue things with a close-over lid and a pliers. They work loose over time and cause an intermittent on-off problem.
