WANT TO BEAT THE HEAT? CHECK OUT MARKS AIR!
By DAVE GENDRON
As the temperatures creep up into the high 80s, you will need to crank up that air-conditioner in your ride. And what better shop to drop by and have it all checked out than Marks Air, which has been in business for more than four decades?
Gordon and Judy Marks started Marks Air in 1971. They offer mobile air-conditioning services, meaning vehicles, heavy equipment, classic cars, school buses, shuttle busses, motor homes and anything that moves and has or needs a/c.
In 1974, the business moved to its current location at 8214 Bowles Road, Tampa, after securing land zoned for heavy equipment and large truck repair. One advantage of working on cars in this type building is plenty of space, so there is not much danger of damage to a vehicle.
Marks Air is warehouse distributor for Spal, Vintage Air, Old Air Products, Red Dot Corp., Kysor/Bergstrom, and owns the trademark KOOL TEMP, which covers a catalog of parts for heavy duty and off-highway equipment.
