I will say this...Stock car driving has came a long way but it has went in the wrong direction. It's not Stock car anymore...the only thing that changed the game over the years was money. The only thing that ties NASCAR to the modern sport is the name. NASCAR always has been a sport that one must be raised and conditioned in by money which is why there weren't that many minorities in this sport before. The older drivers were all given their opportunities by their financial backing. If anything Scott should've been taking donations from the people in his community. Back then would've been a good time to do such a thing being that this was during the time of the Civil Rights Struggle.
