This is a question that I would ask the dealer about how and/or IF the immobilizer needs to be reset.
With some computer things, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery ground will reset some of the codes.
Other codes can be set/reset with the same reader that the auto parts stores use to diagnose a check engine light.
Depending on the year of car, there are several types of readers sold at the auto parts stores that allow a private individual
to reset some of the codes.
