Built by Shelby American, the bespoke Need for Speed Edition Shelby surely looks the part of a cover model. The GT500 comes dressed in Wimbledon White paint accented with Charcoal stripes, and features a number of unique styling additions, including 20-inch HRE competition wheels, a Shelby-designed fiberglass hood, menacing Super Snake badges, and a custom black and white interior. Better still, it has been signed off with Carroll Shelby’s own signature on the airbag cover.
Good looks indeed, but it should go like stink too. The GT500 features a 750 horsepower Super Snake package, which catapults all that power from the supercharged 5.4-liter V8 to the rear wheels through a performance aluminum driveshaft. Handling comes courtesy of uprated brakes, adjustable dampers, tuned stabilizer bars, and lowering springs from Ford Racing.
