The Spitfire was an open top with roll bar. I had the factory hardtop but never used it... I think I used it once to get to an event at VIR, because the car didn't have a softop and it was raining on the drive down.
As for the wheel tucking, I tried a bunch of things, even tried to fit and old Sway-a-way kit from a VW swing axle but the open axles didn't work very well with the parts that were designed to touch the vw axle tubes. I also did some limiting straps which I can't recall how they did... I guess I just got used to knowing where the limits were... I backed it into the weeds a few times though when I first started autocrossing it. My old long nose 911T was much less progressive at the limit than the Triumph though.
no, sorry I didn't know them. most my time in Richmond was spent working... it was when I went back to the valley is when I did more car stuff.
