FS: 1997 Civic HX - $2,500
Just bought a car and this one has to go. It's a 1997 Civic HX, completely stock outside of a short ram intake to improve fuel economy. Fuel economy is around 36 MPG combined. A/C blows ice cold and the heat works great as well. Paint is in decent condition, has some fading on the roof and trunk, cleans up nice. Interior is very clean minus one small rip on the drivers seat. Provisions for an amp were installed by the previous owner, however the provided speakers in the car were sufficient for me. Has a functional Viper alarm, a must have when owning a Honda in Tampa Area. Comes with 4300K HID's which are white and not blue/pink/purple/yellow. Windows are tinted as well. Price is somewhat negotiable, lowballers will be ignored.
Mechanically I have fixed/done the following since getting the car:
Steering wheel replaced with a factory replacement(old one was faded and cracked)
Valve Adjustment and new Valve Cover Gasket
New OEM oil pan and rear main seal
New Distributor and O-Ring
New Distributor, Plug Wires and Spark Plugs
New Fuel Filter
Cleaned EGR chamber and replaced all gaskets
New Exedy Clutch Kit and Flywheel
Used transmission HX model with paperwork
Purchased all new motor mounts from Honda, only the two on the driver side were installed. Rest will be included with the car.
Purchased an OEM replacement timing belt kit which will be included with the car
The bad:
Pops out of second gear occasionally. Needs CSB staked.
Bad rear motor mount sometimes noticeable on takeoff (I have included a replacement).
