General Drift Rules
**MIAMI GRAND DRIFT TECH RULES FOR SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 28TH**
Attention to all participating drivers:
The following is a list of requirements your car must meet before the day of the event. Your car MUST MEET ALL THE REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO PASS TECH. (no exceptions).
ENGINE:
*Your battery secured properly, positive terminal covered
*No oils and fluids leaks
*Exhaust system secured
ELECTRICAL:
*Brake light must be in working order
BODY/SUSPENSION:
*Vehicle must have ALL lug nuts present and torqued to specifications
*Steering system in good working order
*Seats must be bolt down and secure
*No cracks on Windows. (Must not obstruct the view of the driver)
*Aero parts secured to vehicle.
SAFETY:
*Snell 2005, DOT or newer rating approved helmet. (Bike helmets aren't allowed)
*Seatbelts in proper locations and secured from unibody or subframe
*All convertibles, open top, soft-top cars must have a properly installed, approved roll bar
*Tow hooks must be present on at least one location on vehicle.
*Removed floor mat, lose items (audio systems).
CLOTHING:
*Must have long pants and sneakers (No shorts, sandals, or crocks)
TANDEM REQUIREMENTS:
Note: all rules above apply to all drivers; the following is a list of requirements in order for drivers to engage in tandem battle.
*Minimum of 6 point bolt on or welded roll cage equipped in their vehicle
*Must have kill switch equipped in their vehicle
*Must be equipped with a reachable fire extinguisher.
These rules were created for your safety. It our my priority to secure the safety of the drivers and others. Please follow these tech rules and we can continue to have better events.
The layout for the event has been designed and we will post it as soon as the flyer is done.
