there are autocrosses with no instructors and track time is in minutes.
There are autocross schools with instructors and plenty of track time.
There is High Performance Driving Event/open track days with hours of track time.
There is SCCA/NASA two day racing school, class room and track time.
There is honest to gosh SCCA/NASA races with no instruction, with safety equipment required.
