kids buy used tires, just like I did when I was a kid. I'd pay $15 or $20 for one and would be replacing it anywhere from 2 - 6 months.

If your idea was SO GREAT everyone would be buying used tires, and you wouldn't have a problem finding them. I have no way of gauging how well these tires work out for you, but Im willing to bet you're losing in the long run. That is unless youre unemployed and your time is worth absolutely nothing.

When I was a cheapskate (kid), if the shop I went to didnt have them for me at the time I'd run around to dealerships in the area and see if they had any, usually they did. Sounds to me like you cant play that game anymore with 14".
