i really think that your best option is to just reshim the vlsd to make it tighter unless you really do want to change ratios and spend quite a bit more money.

a reshim of the vlsd shouldn't involve a carrier reshim and resetting of backlash like a new lsd installation would require since the shims to tighten the vlsd are inside the carrier and do not effect the overall carrier width.
