I've been working to make what's going on in the Sarasota, Bradenton, Ft. Myers, and surrounding areas more visible and accessible, and to make more events happen locally. To that end, I offer:

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Introducing www.SRQCDE.com

In an effort to expand the potential and function of Sarasota Area Car & Driving Events (SRQCDE), I'm pleased to announce SRQCDE now has its own (really really basic) website: www.SRQCDE.com

Along with the website, you'll note the branding of it as SRQCDE, which is part of the effort to make it more accessible and easy to recall.

Look for the SRQCDE website to expand in the future to include an events calendar, news and features blog, links, and maybe even a forum (maybe... eventually). The goal is to make SRQCDE a hub for local events, social connections and networking, and organize, promote, host, and source sponsors for the kind of events the local scene wants (and NEEDS!), whether it's static shows, cruises, racing, or specialty events, from hot rods to imports to euros to exotics, and everything in between.

My goal here is to make cool stuff happen WHERE WE LIVE, rather than having to travel far and wide. There's already lots of cool stuff going on locally, which is great, but there's obviously potential for more, so let's see if we can make it happen and keep building the local scene. If you've got ideas, something you'd like to see happen, some connection or resource that would benefit the scene, let me know and let's make it happen.
