As I see it, a main issue is that instead of being dropped into a Lounge section, where you can just BS like you're milling around at your local watering hole before you find a spot or group of people to talk with, the forum design enters directly into the Tech section. Nissan Tech is a specific type of forum not an inviting, meet and greet open one.

Perhaps allowing a browser to enter into the Nissan related section of TR that is more open and then allowing/making them select a more specific section, thus proving their intelligence or ignorance would make for a cleaner forum as a whole.

Moderator gestapos are not exactly desirable but sometimes a necessary feature in forums. First time posters and newbies should be cut some slack...but please continue to lower the boom on repeat offenders and those with higher post counts. Vets should have read the rules or know the difference. Repeat offenders, well, I sometimes think they post as they post as they do on purpose.
