I haven't seen an FRS yet around here which is Brevard County.
Here is an autox view of the car written by the first open class winner of the 2011 Nationally Recognized Class Street Touring Roadster J. Toussaint who currently owns and won that class in his S2000 CR:
Well that was a bust... The Manual BRZ was 1.1 sec quicker than the Auto FR-S, so I'm going to get a manual FR-S instead. Stock for stock, I though the BRZ was incredibly well mannered in transition, that it reminds me of the CR [Honda S2000 Club Racer]...just toss it around in transistions, and it stuck. The FR-S was quicker much quicker through the sweepers, with precision perfect turn in, and holding t he line. The BRZ... just pushed a little, where I was already powering out and rotating at the end of the sweepers. So, we're talking about absolutely stock cars with nothing done but alignment and throwing on some Hoosiers in the mix. For comparison sake, the BRZ was 1.7 seconds back from the fully prepped BS S2000 CR, and I believe it would have been even closer, if I didn't run 275 size tires in the back of the BRZ, which were way too tall. The course also played a big part in the results, as it heavily favored high hosepower cars, with 4 back to back tight increasing radius turns, which absolutely killed any momentum the S2000 and the BRZ had.
C-Stock will be in very interesting next year, especially with the exit of the Solstice and the MSR miatas. Both cars were an absolute blast to drive, but in the end, I still prefer the more playful Scion FR-S, just because it is more scalpel-like than the BRZ. It does give up a small advantage in transitions to the Subaru, but transitions are not where you pick up a ton of time... It is always the sweepers. The FR-S swept better.
Big thanks to J. Oliveira for giving me the opportunity to throw on the hoosiers on his BRZ for the comparo.... as I said, it really just comes down to a personal preference, as both cars are very very good, even stock.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
