This was going to be my little project car but my girl totaled her car....she doesn't like the "VIP" style I was going to do with this car.She wants a smaller car and can't afford to buy one right now, so I must say goodby to my project.
THE CAR:
-94 Lexus LS4001UZ V8 engine, 250hp, 260ft lb torque (very fast for a big car, especially if you are already rolling or on the highway)-Engine runs smooth and strong! Idles smooth and quiet as a mouse. You can't even feel that it's running when you are in the car.. But it will burn rubber if you want it to!
-Auto tranny with normal and sport settings and overdrive. No slips and shifts perfectly
-Leather-Heated seats-Power seats-Memory seats-Power headrests-Power seatbelt-Electric tilt and telescoping steering wheel-Power mirrors-Auto dimming rear view mirror-Lexus alarm system
-Traction control-Cruise control-No oil or coolant leaks-Power sunroof
-No check engine light or codes
WHAT'S BEEN DONE:
-Brand new battery
-Full synthetic oil change....just done 20miles ago
-Whole ignition system replaced with brand new parts (spark plugs,coils,caps,rotors,distributors etc..)
-Adjusted TPS and sub TPS properly
-New fuel filter
-New front and rear brakes
-Cleaned all the intake manifold and throttle body components from build up.
-New coolant temp sensor
-If you know about the ECU having bad capacitors in these cars.....this one has already been fixed with higher quality components-The capacitors that go bad in the gauge cluster are all replaced with higher quality capacitors
-The tilt/telescoping steering wheel gear has been replaced and added a washer to keep it from happening again.....so no grinding which is common
-Rear deck subwoofer has been replaced
-I replaced a couple window switches and cleaned and lubricated all window tracks so the work smooth
*****UPDATE******- I JUST DID THE WHOLE TIMING BELT JOB WITH NEW BELT, WATER PUMP WITH METAL IMPELLER, TENSIONER PULLEY, IDLER PULLEY AND HYDROLIC TENSIONER...... This was at least a 10 hour job.
-Replaced the a/c compressor with a rebuilt one..... and replaced all schrader valves and full vac and recharge
-Replaced power steering pump. (old one had leaking from connections)
- Obviously coolant flush and power steering fluid flush
- Replaced the drivers window switches...the old one was acting up on one of the windows....now they all work perfectly
THE BAD (full disclosure here) I am fixing these one by one
It's a 1994 so there are things that I haven't gotten to yet
-It has 214k and this engine will last another 100k easy
-Right rear control arm bushing has worn out so you hear clunk a little on big bumps in the road
-The paint clear coat is flaking on the hood and trunk
-Right rear door has some dings
-There was a small dent on the rear drivers side by the tail light it has been repaired and primed but could use a little more smoothing out. It's about 12"x8*
-Front seats have one tear in the middle bottoms
-The temp gauge doesn't respond (it moves when you power up the car so the gauge itself should be fine)
-Could use a carpet cleaning.....mostly just the drivers side....the rest of the car is pretty clean
-Needs exhaust gaskets where the pipes connect the the back side of the cats....these are very cheap to buy and easy to install (like $10)That's pretty much all there is.
All of the bads are aesthetical with the exception of the bushing.Other than those two things the car runs and drives great.
I am open to consider any trade offer but must be of equal value and in running condition as this will be her daily driver to work. I can work with small repairs but No clunkers please.
***If you have something worth more we could work out a deal where I will wrap the whole car in any color you want.I can get 3M 1080 wrap. I have done my Audi in flat black and several other cars. I was going to do flat silver on this car. The last pic is of my Audi wrap. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN WRAPPING YOUR CAR....IT IS A LOT OF WORK AND I AM ONLY WILLING TO DO IT IF IT WILL GET ME A BETTER TRADE.....DO NOT ASK HOW MUCH TO WRAP YOUR CAR!With the wrap it will look like a brand new car.
