I'm with Taylor on the subject of haning around. At both the spot in Daytona Beach and my few times at gandy I just hang around till all the young dumbasses have have scrambled to calmly leave.

Most times all the cops are there to do is disperse the onlookers, not arrest everyone. It also helps to be a resonsible adult with a nice car.

If you go running like a dumbass, or even worse, hitting a cop while running like a dumbass, I can see why a cop found your friend worthy of a criminal charge.
