the engine will clear with the stock hood, it has a small scoop from the factory(like 1 inch) just brought it up to 3in. mainly just for fresh air and extra cooling, going to try to put the intake up there too. i would have rather gone with black on the frame, but my stepdad wanted to go with red, and it will match our color scheme
