And no, I don't mean me posting in Ford Tech
I was cleaning out a cabinet in the garage today, and dug way down into the bottom back of it. I pulled out some parts from my old 5.0 from YEARS back (I sold the rolling shell to Scott back in like 1999).
Top left is an old externally regulated alternator I had BESCO build for me to 140 amps. I was burning up the stock 85 amp alternators with my stereo system (1400 watts). This one did the trick until the 3G came out in high enough amperage to support everything (the 3g made it's amperage at much lower RPM's than the ext. regulated one).
Top right is the rubber boot that goes over the distributor cap on a 5.0. I saved it all of these years because I figured I was one of the few to do so, and it may be a collectors item some day (like the plastic fuel tank shield from a Pinto I parted out).
Bottom is a set of never installed Southside lift brackets. I bought a rear end from a guy that was already built up and had the brackets welded on, but he kept the bars. So I bought bars (from the Supershops on Busch Blvd haha) and kept the brackets for some reason.
After I took the picture I found a brand new clutch cable quadrant. I think I have a brand new motorsport adjustable cable somewhere too.
Maybe I should start a museum of parts nobody cares about HAHA
