They will do nothing for your car...They may do something for a car that is using the engine for longer periods of time...Lots of people buy them for the color and not for performance increases...But, like a car stereo system, you can use RadioShack RCA Plugs or Monster Cable 5.0Super Trick RCA Plugs...Both will do the same job but the Monster Cable model will resist noise and transfer the signal clearly thru worse conditions than the RadioShack wires...
