I agree. Iam not sure if this works on all starters but I know on some of the 95 dodge pickups you can hit the starter and try to start it again and repeat, I guess to see if thats it or not.
If you want to manual start the car you can connect a wire from the pos. terminal on the batt. to the starter. THat should start. If not that stater is def. bad. There are other ways to test the starter you could take it off and have like auto parts store hook it up to a voltmeter or ammeter to test the amps.V. Check all your connections to like your ground on the starter itself.
