Wife & I have a baby coming in July and currently share a car-- we're going to need another one for her since she'll be at home with the kid. We don't have a huge budget, we were hoping to spend around $1k on a car that needs some work and spend another $500 or so to get it into good shape but honestly we'd consider anything under $2k. We don't have any preference on manufacturer, mileage, tranmisssion, doesn't even need to be nice looking.

Needs:
4 door sedan or a hatch with 5 doors
AC MUST BE WORKING-- no "just needs a charge" yeah I know you're full of BS I've heard that before
Relatively clean on the inside/non-smoker. My child is going to be riding in this for several years, I want it clean. If its just a little dirty no problem, I can clean it.
