Wow now, I wasn't asking for insults man, but regardless thanks for whatever help you gave me I suppose. Like I said, it's my first car no need to be a dick. No, a friend of mine has a Subaru mechanic in the family so he checked it out for me. I knew the timing belt needs to be changed, I was just putting that out there to see if it would have any other effects on my car. Rotors were tested, and checked by eye from the same person, taking off the wheel, etc. When I say bullshitted, it was my uncle who checked it and said it was fine whom doesn't know much more about cars than I do, and wanted to stray away from helping with any mechanical work.
I have record of the brakes being done, but I believe it was only the brake pads considering they look fairly new. My power light also flashes, and my car jerks for a few seconds until it turns off. What could this be from? Also, don't call me a retard because I'm not car savvy. It takes time, and patience to learn these things, especially on a foreign car like Subaru's. I don't have the time, OR money to get it inspected so I'm doing the best I can to figure out what is wrong with it, and take it as it comes. (Considering Advanced Auto Parts wouldn't do a free diagnostics on my car, like they're supposed to.)
I already bought replacement gaskets, but I can't get to them because the bolts are rusted on with age so that will have to wait a few days until I get rust remover.
Not intelligent enough? Wow buddy, you're really quick on jumping to conclusions and trying to imply something that I'm obviously not. I said performance, and appearance would be AFTER I fix what needs to be done.
