Oh it happens... I've had people slam on their brakes for no reason to try in get you to hit them. They know they will get an insurance pay out. And then if they claim the "my back hurts" one they get $10k+. One of the guys at my work just pulled that one. I pray every week that there's a PI in the trees watching him play softball with a hurt back! Makes me sick.
