The suspension squeaks but thats very normal on fords. If you replace the front ball joints the squeaking will go away but the shop we took it too said it would be fine for another 2 years or so. So in that case i dont want to waste the money to fix something that doesn't really need to be fixed unless you can't stand the squeaking.
Although the squeaking is somewhat common it is definitely not "normal". Also any "shop" that told you that squeaking ball joints would be good for 2 more years was probably more like your neighbor in his back yard giving you his "diagnosis"
