I had a difficult filter that I ended up crushing like a soda can with one of those regular filter wrenches. I ended up using one of these chain vice grips that I picked up at autozone for 20 bucks, just clamped it tight near the base of the filter and spun it free, [ATTACH=CONFIG]177750[/ATTACH]
