if you need a car a internal rebuild isnt just a breez, also from the way you are talking you are gunna wanna do head work too, holy shit i have seen machine shops keep them for 2 weeks sometimes. that motor is gunna have to be ripped apart and that means you dont have a car when it is...
i had a n/t that had a rebuild when i bought it and the fuckers that rebuilt it put the intake mani gasket on backwards so that caused my #1 piston and rod melt down to the cylinder wall.... BUT when i got it rebuilt the second time it was bored out to roughly 2.3L and THEN it satarted moving a little bit with all of the other bolt on shit...
so basically you are talking about spending a TON of money doing the internals and not having a daily driver for sometimes up to a week... i mean im trying to help you by just saying be prepared... most people will tell you get a gst but i understand where you are coming from... there are a few guys on here that have rs's or gs's that are turbo and a ton looking to make thiers turbo so your not the only one...
