Regardless, he paid his 200 dollar tax stamp for each of them and they are indeed suppressors. Just like you see in spy movies.
Well the dude I asked at a gun store said "real suppressors" are technically illegal. Sure that might muffle the sound by a decibel or two but that doesn't necessarily make it a "suppressor", I mean you can put a pillow or a bottle against the muzzle and get just as good suppression. Guy at the gun range (one that just got overtaken on US19) said its just for show rather than significant drop in decibel. Again I'm a gun noob and I'm not good with them but I just took his word for it.
