My ecu seems to react better to gradual throttle and does not like quick "stomps", but every dsm is different. I doubt its lag.......

You can also find a 1g throttle body elbow to throw on there, instead of paying a dealer hundreds of dollars. 1g throttle body>2g throttle body.

Being a 95 that you just purchased...with adverage milage would put it around 100k, or so. Just do a tune up on the whole car and that will also rule out alot of other possibilities.
