At meets, people ask me why I get invited to a lot of events when I don't have a particular car.
As part of the discussion, we sometimes talk about getting non-import meets to start
letting in imports. These are my thoughts. Feel free to post if you also have something topic-related
or if you have an idea that helps gain import acceptance at non-import meets.-Bob
Two ways to make inroads into a non-import show and fundraiser.
1.Park a short distance away open your hood and be respectful.
2. If you ask......I never do......LOL.......be ready for a "no" answer....... LOL
Call Ralph if you have an import "show quality car" and ask if you can stop by to add
something different to the show and contribute to the church fundraiser.
Two things you have going for you is
a.) It's a business. It's not good business to turn away potential business.
b.) It's a fundraiser. It's not a good idea to turn away contributors.
and a third: c.) If there is a 50/50 drawing, it's not good to turn away someone
wanting to buy one or more tickets, since the organizer gets 1/2 the pot.
TR does not list evemts in General Car Chat. Events are actually listed in TR's Local Events forum...Here's the event:https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/l...ml#post8981921
