if you have proper clearance between the synchro ring and 3rd gear you may be able to scuff up third gear and correct your grind issue. the gear cone may be glazed if clearance is in spec. new diff bearings were $50 last time i checked at synchrotech.com. $10 for red scuff pad and rtv sealant. download a helms manual and diy for under $100.
