Check the engine code. KLZE is a 2.5L V6. I'm guessing your code will say 99A, which is the base 4-cylinder. If that's the case, he screwed you because you didn't know what you were looking at.

All the Probes have "FORD" on the valve cover. My MX-6 has a plate held on by 2 screws, to have either the Mazda or Ford name on it. That's all.

You should have at least known what a KLZE is before buying it. It's a V6, pretty easy to spot the difference.

You'd have been better off buying a 1st gen GT. They can keep up with the 2nd gen GTs (the V6) and the GSR. But get a boost controller, and you're ahead, no problem.
