If a person expects people to come out to a recurring weekly meet,
the meet organizer/sponsor needs to keep the thread active.

One way to keep a thread active is by posting every week, so people
know that at least the organizer/an associate/sponsor supports the meet and
will be there. When an organizer doesn't show, people don't show.

A second way to keep a thread active is by posting up pictures of people
and/or cars every week as a way of showing that the meet is still active.

Sometimes someone needs to post during the meeting week so people know if
the meet is on or off. When people show up a couple times with no one there, their
perception is that the meeting is no longer being held.....and they won't be back
until they see another posting from someone running the meet.

Examples available only in face to face conversation. See you at the meets
and keep checking the first couple pages of TR Local Events.-Bob
I agree, I'm a stay at home dad & I co organize a group of other SAHD's, I have seen there that if an organizer or a person that is authorized to be an organizer decides not to show that other dad's won't come out, same applies here. I think posting pics is a good idea if people don't mind pics of there cars posted, I have a few friends that are anal about it. Lastly, face to face conversations are way better than posts on here, getting out to check out other rides & make a few new friends that are like minded.
