Guess what ?
Your other two credit bureau reports probably have completely different info. on them.
I have mastered the art of fixing a screwed up credit report. It started with mine that had tons of incorrect info. on it years ago and now I lend help to customers when they need it.
The quickest way to do it in a nutshell is as follows:
Get the number for Experian.
Call them and choose the "if you have been denied credit option" from there phone menu.
It will ask if you have been denied credit, blah, blah then you can get a free copy of your report. Choose this option.
You will then be prompted to give your personal info. to get your report, do so.
You will get a copy 7-10 days later and in that copy will be a dispute form. Correct everything with this form. And I mean everything, the dumbist things can screw your beacon score. Make sure your past addresses are correst and delete ones that don't apply. Make sure no one has ever marked you down as being late once and you were not.
Then send in this dispute form and the bureau has 30 days to correct the problem.
On the 31st day call the bureau again and have your report handy. There should be a special number you can call to check your investigation status, this phone number is not listed anywhere else. You will be prompted to punch in your report number on the phone after you call this number. After you do so you will get connected with a live human ! :o
Check the status of your investigation. Any creditor that has not replied within the 30 day window looses the opportunity and now the bureau will correct it however you say !
The double info. stuff usually gets fixed right away so do not fret over it.
Then repeat the same process with the other bureaus.
