Part attitude and part truth. If you're going to come into this forum asking questions about your suspension (even if it's just "who should I take it to"), you should start with what the car is. And you could buy every tool you need from jack stands to wrenches and a spring compressor for half of what a shop would charge to do the job.

I'm pretty sure if you check around, you'll find that the time estimate for a job like that is on the order of 3-4 hours. If I were quoting the job, I'd quote 4 hours unless I was a Subaru expert and knew I could do it a lot quicker.

I'd pay $300 to have that job done by a qualified shop that I trust to do the job right before I paid the kids down the street $200 to do it. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

The question I'd be asking is whether or not the installation charge includes the alignment that you'll need after it's done.
