The junk yards have to have a title, certificate of destruction or a power of attorney for proof of ownership.

If they dont have any of the above they could get in deep dodo with the law.

Towing companies can apply for a title for lost or abandoned cars but its timely, expensive and they only do it for themselves.

I saw a company on the web that charges a few hundred dollars that will take the info and title it in a different state, then you can retitle it in Florida. Some states dont require you to have a title to get a replacement title.

You better check to make sure that the car doesnt have a lien or was stolen or you could end up being in trouble.
