Could you swap in an SRT-4 motor? Yes. For the price of the motor and the work to have it done could you almost buy an SRT? Probably.
Cost wise its not really the greatest of swaps (other than maybe insurance). But its a badass little motor. Car and Drive dyno tested the new SRT-4 stock and they said they got 227hp ... at the wheels.
First of all its not going to cost me $21,000 to do a motor swap. And I am goin to order a brand new motor,trans and computer from dodge for about $6000 and for someone to install will be about $1900. But the price don't matter to me. And I don't care if I don't get my money back I don't plan on sellin it anytime soon. In my opinion I will be running low 13's all motor in a normal body neon. How many of those do you see a day??
