I have a rack on my wagon & my hatch.. Oh, and I have tow hitches too..
I carry all sorts of crap, in & on my car.. Wood, Pipes, Surf Boards, Bikes, Kayaks, Canoes.. Anything that doesn't fit in the car.. And, If I don't have my trailer with me, then it goes on the roof. And, it takes so freaking long to take the rack off & put it on again, that I just leave it up there.

Since I sold my truck, I have re-allocated my civic as a Do-Anything & Carry-All mobile..

Guess, I am not one of those people that you are talking of..
