Did the det crank pulley fit? I read the writeup and they said it needed to be modded. I think the timing marks just don't line up anymore but I'm not sure.
The DET pulley had to be milled down because the VVL oil pump is longer than the DET's. There is a small spacer that goe behind the crank pulley as well which took me a while to figure out. I'd tighten up on the crank nut and nothing would rotate. I was like WTF, then I figured it out. I'm not sure about the timing marks, but I can tell you that if you lined it up with the second mark from the left you are not at TDC on cyl 1. I'm rotated a bit further to the right, but there is a knotch there that lines up with the timing indicator on the front cover, perhaps for the "new TDC?
