I replaced the starter and that did NOT fix my problem. .... I never use it, but it some sort of early version of chip type key...only larger. Its like a removeable card that completes the circuit. Without that card-key installed th car wont start..... I redid those connections and removed and cleaned the card and since then the car has started perfect everytime. So I can only guess it was some sort of contact or connection issue. (long explanation but i know you'll appreciate that Phil...lol)
