Default The Starting issue...

I replaced the starter and that did NOT fix my problem. I then checked out the wiring diagram for the clutch safety switch and starter relay. As I checked this out I noticed how an anti-theft system that is on my car was wired in to the ignition. I never use it, but it some sort of early version of chip type key...only larger. Its like a removeable card that completes the circuit. Without that card-key installed th car wont start. It will run without that car-key, with a jump start though, as long as the key is turned to the on position. Its an odd quirk that I didnt think of because, like i said i never use it...didnt take the time to understand it until now. I redid those connections and removed and cleaned the card and since then the car has started perfect everytime. So I can only guess it was some sort of contact or connection issue. (long explanation but i know you'll appreciate that Phil...lol)
