Trust me , that's not the easy way out. Mileage will go to hell with a carb, you're gonna have to find a way to interface the computer with the manifold, I would just really consider fixing what you have. As for the PCV sensor, again, sounds liek a vacuum leak, go check the lines and specifically go look BEHIND the battery box, that is where most of the leaks (that i have found) are generated, in the line going to the vacuum canister behind the battery box.
