True dual exhaust will always sound better. But if that exhaust is going under the axle it will scrape or hit the axle. Just check it now and then, you'll see the scrape marks. And, you are still left with an inferior flowing piece than a properly setup up y pipe, even though it sounds better. The x pipe your using probably has the pipes merge at a 45, slamming the gases from the two banks together, and your dealing with bends that narrow and then open back up which kills flow. If you like it though, that's all that matters
The Texas speed dual exhaust is nice, the x pipe has the same problem I mentioned above, but the pipes are mandrel bent. Only problem is it dumps before the axle which can get annoyingly loud. But I'm getting old so that might only affect me, lol.
I'm a fan of a propley setup y pipe or dual system. To do a proper dual on an fbody takes some money, so that's why I just built my own y pipe with the proper merge.
